You will learn of the decades of horrors, my fight with the Territorial Govt for Animal Protection here, the ongoing struggle, failure of courts to prosecute….plus a lot of information on current ongoing issues with animals everywhere. “Philly’s Corner” are the articles I published in our local paper: animal health, care and welfare. You will also meet LOKI a very special lone survivor whom I continue to work with and care for…13 months have passed since he escaped death, he remains a stray but our relationship is amazing. You are free to join Action for the Protection of Northern Animals on FaceBook and on Causes under the same name. Friends of LOKI is also on FaceBook. A page started for him in an attempt to gain support and to keep him safe up here. If caught he would likely be shot. On YouTube you can find the Tundra Voices channel where videos of LOKI can be seen, they can also be seen on his FB page and on the Blog.
Many of the pictures on Loki’s Gift (Gift of Loki) site are very graphic, some videos pertaining to other subject matter such as the BLM Wild Horse Round-ups for slaughter int he U.S. and on Factory Farming are as well.
Educating the public and bringing world focus to these issues is a must. By using my Blog posts to draw international attention to the plight of animals, especially dogs, in the NWT, enough pressure was obtained to force the Territorial government into enacting the new Dog Act this Spring. The act is a major historical victory for dogs up here, and I continue to fight for Comprehensive Animal Protection here. You will learn more of the Blog.
